The Power of Stepping Away

In a quiet village lived a young man named David. He had a kind heart and always wanted to help others. Whenever people argued, quarreled, or had problems, David tried to bring peace. He tried fixing everything. But in no time, he started to feel tired and unappreciated. It felt - no matter how much he helped, nothing really changed.

On one day a wise man came to the village. During his conversation, the wiseman lit a row of matchsticks. The first match caught fire and lit the next few burnt. But before all the matches could catch fire, the wiseman gently removed a match stick from the stack. The fire stopped. The rest of the matches were safe.

The people watched in silence. Then the wiseman said,
"Sometimes, the best way to stop trouble is not by jumping in—but by stepping away."

David understood the message. He realized that he didn’t have to be part of every argument. Some fires die out on their own when we don’t feed them.

From that day, David changed. He learned when to speak and when to stay quiet. He found more peace in his heart—and others around him did too.

Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God

The Bushmen of the Kalahari speak of two kinds of hunger.

By Anonymous (Posted By Ezekiel Polinati)

The Little Hunger is the hunger for food — the fire in your belly that must be fed to survive.

But then there is the Great Hunger — the hunger for meaning.

It lives deeper than the stomach — in the soul, the bones, the silence behind your eyes. It’s the ache to belong, to matter, to know why you are here.

Laurens van der Post, who spent years with the Bushmen, listening and learning, said that the greatest danger in life isn’t sadness — it’s emptiness.

That slow erosion of the soul that comes from living without purpose.

In the modern world, we chase money, status, comfort — as if happiness were the point.
But happiness is fleeting.
Meaning endures.

Because when you’re doing something that truly matters — not to others, but to yourself — it doesn’t matter if you feel good all the time.

You feel right.
You feel connected.
You feel like you belong to something greater than yourself.

And in that belonging, even hardship becomes sacred.

This photo isn’t just a meeting between two men.
It’s a moment between two ways of being — one that remembers: We are not just bodies to be fed, but spirits to be fulfilled.

Maybe that’s the real hunger we’ve been trying to feed all along.

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4

Sama’s Triumph: Lighting the Path to Education in Remote Kinchaiguda

By Ezekiel Polinati

Kinchaiguda, Andhra Pradesh – Sama, a God-Fearing young girl from the remote tribal village of Kinchaiguda, overcame daunting barriers—distance, poverty, and tradition—to become the first in her village to pass the Class 10 exams. Her triumph, under God’s divine protection, is a testament to courage and the transformative power of education, igniting hope across her community.

Nestled on the rugged Andhra Pradesh-Odisha border, Kinchaiguda lacks roads, electricity, and clean water, isolated from progress. "In places where the road to school is a daily test of courage, every step becomes a triumph over silence, struggle, and neglect." For Sama, the 7-kilometer trek to school through rocky paths and monsoon-swollen streams was a daily act of faith and resilience. Despite scorching summers and chilling winters, she pressed on, fueled by divine strength and her dream of education.

Evenings brought no rest—household chores preceded late-night study under a lantern’s dim glow. Yet, Sama’s spirit remained unbroken, guided by God’s grace. Her father, Venkaih, defied cultural norms, prioritizing her education over early marriage. Sacrificing wages, her family provided school supplies and an umbrella, shielding her from rain and doubt.

Sama’s success shines as a guiding light for Kinchaiguda. "In the shadow of neglect, her footsteps shine with resilience—proving that education can turn sacrifice into strength and hope into a future." Now a symbol of possibility, she inspires other girls, visiting hamlets to advocate for education. With unwavering faith and gratitude to God, Sama’s journey—marked by sacrifice and divine guidance—has lit a path of hope, proving education can forge a brighter, God-blessed future for her forgotten village.
